Like many other conferences and festivals it is with a heavy and saddened heart that we have to cancel Innocence Girls Conference 2020. With the current government guidelines about meeting in groups we felt that this is the best way to ensure the safety of our young people and our volunteers. Innocence is many of our teams favourite day of the year, so it is a real shame that we will not be seeing you all this year!

We ask that you will stand with us as we pray for our country and world for healing, for wisdom and for all those working through this on the front line and for those that are isolated at home. We know that God will be Glorified through this situation and that as Christians we will rise to the challenge that is before us. We need to step out to help those in need and to share the love of Christ and the hope we have in him with those who don’t yet know our Lord.

We believe it’s clear God is doing something new, preparing us for the rivers to flood, and by faith we hold on to him as he reveals the plans and opportunities to reach more people with the Good News of Jesus. We know that this is a time to shape up the ministry and seek His direction as we take on the challenge of a new season, with a renewed passion and heart as will Lift His name on High.

Young people of this generation are dealing with situations even some adults would find challenging, resulting in their innocence being stolen. The influence and pressure placed upon them from society, media, peers and broken families, often forces young people to make choices where the consequences aren’t considered and can lead them to ruin their young lives. We know the answer is Jesus who brings hope.

Our vision at Oriel is solely focused on making an eternal impact on a generation of young people through the life changing message of the Gospel and to nurture them through discipleship and mentoring them into becoming leaders of the future. We are seeing God move in so many incredible ways through the ministry, but the need to bring the gospel to young people is so ever present in our hearts.
