The Pulse Bus
In many communities, limited funding makes it difficult to establish permanent youth centres. As a result, young people often gather in public spaces with little access to structured support, positive activities, or safe environments.
The Pulse Bus exists to meet young people where they are.
Operating across Devon and Cornwall, the Pulse Bus is a mobile youth venue designed to engage, inspire, and support young people in a relevant and accessible way. By bringing a safe, welcoming space directly into local communities, the Pulse Bus provides opportunities for connection, creativity, and conversation - particularly for those who may not otherwise engage with traditional youth services.

Our vision for the Pulse Bus is to bridge the gap between young people and the church by partnering with local groups, authorities, churches and Christian organisations, aiming to reach our local young people in a new and fresh way.
The Pulse Bus is an exciting, high-tech youth venue on wheels, with so much fun to be had with various activities such as games and a climbing wall! There’s lots for young people to enjoy and experience whilst our Youth Workers provide support and encourage a sense of hope, purpose and self-worth. You can hire the Pulse Bus for your local School, Church, Outreach Events and Festivals for young people. This exciting, fun youth venue can travel to you with our experienced team of Youth Workers who would love to work together for your area.
The Pulse Bus works in partnership with the Ground Zero Schools Team, delivering:
School assemblies
Workshops and lessons
Lunchtime and after-school sessions
These sessions are designed to be engaging, age-appropriate and impactful, supporting students’ wellbeing, character development, and social awareness.
“I’ve been coming to the Pulse Bus since January and then started Shake Shop soon after because I was given a flier. The bus and Shake Shop are good fun, you get to make new friends and its free to go. Lots of my mates go too. The staff are really kind and ask about my day at school which is nice.
I used to get into a lot of trouble at school – I was always in reflection – but since I’ve been coming to clubs, my friends see a good difference in me. I’ve changed a lot and now I’m much better behaved in school and get lots of post cards. (Post cards are the secondary school’s approach to praise and reward). I don’t get reflection anymore.”
