In so many communities, due to a lack of funding, it can be hard to establish a permanent youth centre to cater for the needs of our young people meaning that they are often congregating out of boredom in local town squares and public areas. The Pulse Bus is a project used on mission across Devon and Cornwall to address the needs of our young people, giving them a sense of hope, purpose and self-worth. The Pulse Bus is a fantastic resource for reaching young people where they are at, providing a safe hangout space for them to have fun. Through the Pulse Bus, our team are able to build connections with the young people to share the Gospel and to speak into their lives.

 Pulse Bus

So often we meet young people who see the church as irrelevant – most don’t even have a concept of what it means to be a Christian or they will have a distorted view. Our vision for the Pulse Bus is to bridge that gap between young people and the church by partnering with local groups, authorities, churches and Christian organisations, aiming to reach our local young people in a new and fresh way.

The Pulse Bus is an exciting, high tech youth venue on wheels, with so much fun to be had with various activities such as games and a climbing wall! There’s lots for young people to enjoy and experience whilst our Youth Workers provide support and encourage a sense of hope, purpose and self-worth. You can hire the Pulse Bus for your local School, Church, Outreach Events and Festivals for young people. This exciting, fun youth venue can travel to you with our experienced team of Youth Workers who would love to work together for your area.

The Pulse Bus works alongside Ground Zero Schools Team offering assemblies, workshops, lessons and lunchtime and after-school sessions on the bus.

I’ve been coming to the Pulse Bus since January and then started Shake Shop soon after because I was given a flier. The bus and Shake Shop are good fun, you get to make new friends and its free to go. Lots of my mates go too. The staff are really kind and ask about my day at school which is nice.
I used to get into a lot of trouble at school – I was always in reflection – but since I’ve been coming to clubs, my friends see a good difference in me. I’ve changed a lot and now I’m much better behaved in school and get lots of post cards. (Post cards are the secondary school’s approach to praise and reward). I don’t get reflection anymore.
